Topic: Gothic Fashion Girl, Cool Guy In Summer

To outsiders , the goth scene is all just one big pile of black clothing and heavy makeup . The reality is that , just like any other social group , there are different subsets within the goth culture , each with their own and unique looks , personal tastes , and musical choices . This article will help you to know more about the types of goth styles out there and guide you towards your best fit

1.The origin of Gothic style and the Gothic style :

A selection of British bands that appeared prior to , during , and after the late 1970s punk era set the tone for the goth subculture that was to emerge . Crucial ingredients were provided by the deep-voiced feminine glamour of David Bowie , the disturbing intensity and eclecticism of late 1970s Iggy Pop , and the somber angst-ridden despair of Joy Division . The key direct founders of goth , though , were former punks Siouxsie and the Banshees , whose style began to take on a decidedly sinister tone toward the early 1980s , and Bauhaus , whose self-conscious emphasis upon funereal , macabre sounds and imagery was epitomized in the now legendary record "Bela Lugosi's Dead." As the dark, feminine appearance and imagery associated with such bands began to be taken up by their fans , the new "scene" received extensive coverage in the music press . By the mid-1980s, the deep vocals, jangling guitars, and somber base lines of The Sisters of Mercy alongside black clothes , long coats, and dark shades , had established them as the archetypal "goth rock" band . A period of chart success for the Sisters , alongside The Mission , Fields of the Nephilim , The Cure, and Siouxsie and the Banshees , would ensure that toward the end of the 1980s goth enjoyed significant international exposure .

Through the 1990s, however, the subculture existed in a rather more underground form , with occasional moments of mass exposure provided by high-profile artists such as Marilyn Manson and through the borrowing of goth style by emerging metal genres and , intermittently, by major fashion labels .

2.Gothic girl can be cool and can be elegant in daily life

Despite what the average millennial will tell you , the goth fashion originated in the 1980s with the rise of bands such as Siouxie and the banshees  and the Cure . It is this style that continued the trend of wearing all black and adapting to the vampire smoky eye makeup routine and red lipstick . The subculture uses Gothic icons, such as Morticia and Wednesday Adams , who remain popular choices for Halloween costumes even today . But the GOTHIC Lolita-style clothes are sweet , elegant , and reminiscent of the Victorian era and it can be a daily wear . Some dresses have sleeves that flare below the elbows and lacy edges .

While a lot of the outfits are black and trimmed with white , there are also those in white and pink . Then there are the floral items that can be used for normal wear . Elegant Gothic Lolita is supposed to make the wearer look cute and sweet , like a porcelain doll .

Unfortunately , in many country , the Gothic Lolita trend is being associated with punk culture , smoking , and drugs . First of all , Gothic Lolita and punk clothing have nothing in common . They are as different as chalk and butter . Elegant Gothic Lolita also has nothing to do with Western Gothic .

Elegant Gothic girls :

Goths the world over began wearing the ultimate fashion staple that remains prevailing in the fashion industry today : the choker . Goth styles feature a wide variety of elegant , tight-fitting choker necklaces. The necklaces feature everything from leather to velvet bases with pendants , including Victorian cameos to crosses and pentacles . The subculture featured Victorian dresses that are short and flowing with bustles and looms holding them outward. It was not until the release of the 1992 film Bram Stoker’s Dracula that the fashion industry finally took notice of how influential the goth subculture had become .

In today’s society , individuals who love goth and heavy metal music wear goth fashions , but those who live the goth subculture in their everyday life offer more dramatic styles . In 2020 , the Gothic styles , although far more progressive , have become a part of personal identity and it become a life style which may be suitable for every days life .

At a time when the fashionable thing was tanned skin , blonde hair , and bright candy colors , the goth scene had pale skin , dark hair in very punk styles like Mohawks , and mostly black clothing . Stylistically , much of the clothing was a holdover from the punk fashion , but rendered in all black instead of plaids and leopard print. The makeup was , and still is a very exaggerated style , still avoiding the mainstream beauty standard .
